I am currently Technical Director - Systems at Parsons Parsons MEA, where I am responsible for all systems engineering activities and the provision of the systems engineering expertise to Parsons operations throughout the MEA region. I also serve the Parsons Transportation Group’s Technical Discipline Leader for Systems Assurance/Verification and Validation/EMC and Simulation. I am currently Systems Engineering Manager for the Stage 1 Programme Management Consultant , PMC for the 270 km Shah - Hashban - Ruwais Design and Build Etihad Rail Network.  Prior to this, I was seconded to Tubelines Limited (UK), as EMC Manager for the Jubilee and Northern Line Upgrade Project (JNUP) where I am responsible for the EMC assurance and management of the JNUP Transmission Based Train Control System (TBTC) Project and has direct EMC responsibilities for other enabling works under the JNUP Project such as SERs and Station Modernisations. 

In addition to this role on the JNUP, I was System EMC Manager on the design and build Dubai Metro Project.  I was consultant to a number railway projects such as the New York Second Avenue/ Flushing Line – Communication Based Train Control Systems (CBTC) Project (USA), the WCRM Norton Bridge Conventional Re-Signalling Project (UK) and the West Rail Advanced Signaling Project (KCRC, Hong Kong).  I currently provide technical expertise to various railway projects including Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Young Spadina Upgrade (Canada), Houston Light Rail Upgrade (USA) and New Jersey PTI upgrade.

Prior to joining Parsons, I was EMC Manager at ALSTOM Transport Information Solutions, where I was responsible for EMC Assurance and regulatory compliance issues at corporate and project level.  In addition, I was Project EMC Manager for the WCRM Train Control System (TCS), WCRM Tilt Authorisation Speed and Supervision (TASS) and WCRM Norton Bridge Conventional Re-signaling Projects.  At corporate level, I was responsible for the complete re-certification of the company’s core signaling products, resulting in the design of an EMC compliant version of a Trackside Functional Module.  I contributed to and wrote a number of safety cases resulting in the Railway Operator’s (Network Rail and London Underground) acceptances.

My work experience includes the EMC design, test and certification of Information Technology Equipment, Industrial, Scientific and Medical Equipment, Telecommunication Equipment, Aerospace and Automotive Equipment, and Railway Equipment, specializing in the international arena for the European EMC Directive and System EMC.

I am a member of the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) society and a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  In addition, I am a member of the IET Professional Network on EMC and a member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IET), a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (IoP).  I am also a member of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).

I am a Chartered Physicist and Chartered Engineer.  I have authored and presented numerous papers on EMC Assurance, EMC and Safety, Shielding Effectiveness, TEM Cells and Conductive Plastic at IEEE International EMC Symposium in Europe and North America. My book titled “ Electromagnetic Compatibility in Railways - Management and Analysis” co-authored with Andrea Mariscotti I am co-organiser of the IET “EMC Assurance in Railway” Colloquium, was co-organiser of IEEE Africon 2007 conference and Chair of the EMC in Railway Workshop at the International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, EMC Zurich 2007.

I am Adjunct Associate Professor of the Department of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Lagos, Nigeria and the Chairman of AFSEC TC 77 (the Africa Electrotechnical Standardisation Technical Committee on EMC, the Nigerian National International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) EMC Technical Committee (NNIEC TC 77) and Nigeria’s chief delegate to IEC Technical Committee on Electromagnetic Compatibility, IEC TC77.  I am also a member of IEC ACEC and a  former Trustee of the Institute of Physics.
