EEG 814: Electromagnetic Theory


I have already distributed the course notes, but here I include additional resource which I hope you would all find helpful.  These include supplementary lecture notes as well as tutorial questions.  I shall post the answers to the tutorial questions within a week of posting the questions.  All students are encouraged to try the tutorial questions and send in their answers before I post the answers on my website.


EEG 814 Course Content


Theoretical analysis and engineering applications of Maxwell’s Equation; Boundary value problems of electrostatics and magnetostatics.  The homogeneous wave equations.  Plane wave propagation.  The interaction of plane waves and material media.  Retarded potential.  The Hertz potentials.  Simple radiation systems.  Relativistic covariance of Maxwell’s Equation
